BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, POMPANO, BLUES AND WHITING

Walton Ray at the Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reports Black Drum in abundance! Keeper Pompano are starting to arrive in good numbers, so get ready for those! There has been a significant drop off in bait, looks like the fall mullet run has come to an end.
A couple decided to fish the north beach to avoid the crowds, and estimated he landed close to 100 fish using clams and fresh sand fleas that were everywhere. Lots of small Pompano and Black Drum had to be returned, but plenty of keepers were landed as well. On Sunday alone, one angler was able to keep 8 Sheepshead, 5 Pompano (one that was 5 lbs), 6 Whiting and a bunch of Blues. The couple fished from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and had non-stop action the entire day.
Photo one is of Meir Ganon with one of the many Sheepshead he landed.

Photo two features Teresa Quinonez with one of her Sheepshead she landed.

Our next three photo is of Jose Pina with one of the biggest Black Margate we've seen landed off the north jetty. This beauty was 20"!
Photo four is of Chris Alberozo of Rutland, VT who was fishing the north jetty  when he landed this nice 25" Red using live shrimp.
