Sebastian Inlet Report

09-11-12 TUESDAY: SNOOK, REDS, JACKS, AND MANGROVE SNAPPER

Hold on to your fishing hats, anglers! Winds are blowing out of the East-Northeast at 18 mph, gusting to 23 and the water is choppy. There is a small craft advisory in effect; boaters should exercise caution. We have some cloud cover over the inlet this morning, keeping the temperature down and the wind is keeping the no see 'ums away!

We received an update from inlet regular Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach, Yesterday, the fishing gods smiled on him once again and what a morning he had! Mike reported the Snook and Redfish bite was hot and at least 12 - 15 slot Snook were landed and 10 - 12 slot Reds came over the rails. Several of the regular crowd were lucky enough to land both slot Snook and slot Reds, and Mike was one of them, along the Tony Swiderski and Mike White. The Snook and Reds were taking mullet and live shrimp from 6:00 - 8:a.m., all on the outgoing tide.

Our first photo is of Mike RIcciardi with his slot Snook and Red landed yesterday.

Our next photo features Drew Medlen of Vero Beach. Drew landed the enormous Red  from the south catwalk. Drew was using greenies to land this 47" beauty, (his largest to date), which he fought for 20 minutes then lowered it back into the water after a quick photo.

Our third photo  is of B.J. Anand with a slot Snook using a live croaker. His Snook was exactly 32". B.J. also landed a 29" C/R Redfish, several Mangrove Snapper, a couple of big Jacks and Ladyfish.
