09-10-12 MONDAY: REDS, SNOOK, MANGROVE SNAPPER AND JACKS
It's another pretty morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the Northwest at 4 mph and there is a light chop on the water. The water has been murky with the run off from the storms and rain, but the Redfish don't seem to mind! Over the weekend we saw a few Snook and more Reds, Mangrove Snapper and Jacks come over the rails.
We received an update from Meir Ganon of Deerfield Beach who drove up to the inlet with friends on Saturday. They got to the inlet very early and by 6:00 a.m., around 75 Snook fisherman were on the north jetty! As Meir was walking out onto the jetty, he saw two anglers with slot Reds fishing near the web cam, Meir moved down another 50' and within 15 minutes, he and a friend had their slot Reds for the day! They had two other Reds on the line, but both managed to get away. About a half dozen slot Reds were landed off the end of the north jetty, but by daylight the bite turned off. They fished for a couple more hours and landed three nice Jacks and a 26.5" Snook that was released after a quick photo. Meir also reported a lot of mullet were on the ocean side and he netted a lot of nice mojarra in the tide pool. Overall, it was a slow day for most, but no complaints from Meir!

Our second photo features Dan McNamara of Melbourne. Dan landed this 20" slot Red using live mullet, which he released right after the photo.
Photo three features inlet regular Chuck Fischer of Satellite Beach with two Black Drum he landed off the north jetty. Chuck was using mojarra to land the 16" and 23" Drum.
