Did some fishing at the Boynton inlet ......."Snapper Time"....... they where hitting cut fresh sardines on a #1 Circle hook. I like using circle hooks for snapper, I don't start reeling until they are moving with the bait.....the little ones peck, peck The BIG Ones PULL . I only keep the ones about 13 inches on up. I'm only using 10lb Fins Braid with no more than a 25lb leader so you got to Move when its time to Move. I'm also using a 7' 6" Blair Wiggins (Wright & Mcgill), Flats Blue Rod. Its something about the way they bends that I like, lots of power. I hooked a few small snook but they chewed the leader.. Looks like Snapper Tacos Tonight..
The other BIG Bite was "PERMIT". I was told about one caught and helped land another.
James caught this on a crab and landed it in about 10 min.
