07-17-12 TUESDAY: OVERSIZED REDS, MANGROVE SNAPPER AND SPANISH MACKEREL
It's another pretty morning at the inlet. We have a mix of sun and clouds, winds are blowing out of the West-Southwest at 6 mph and the water is calm. There is a small swell this morning, please use caution when casting off the north side of the north jetty when surfers are present.
Some oversized Reds were landed off the north jetty , along with Mangrove Snapper that were hitting small bait fish and shrimp. A smattering of Spanish Mackerel and Flounder were also reported by Tommy Turowski of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop. Thanks Tommy!
Our first photo today is of Mustapha Oufa of Lakeland who landed this monster Red from the north jetty using dead shrimp on the outgoing tide.
