06-28-12 THURSDAY: CLEAR SKIES AT THE INLET!
What a difference a day makes! Winds are blowing out of the North-Northwest at 4 mph, the sun is out and it's beautiful at the inlet again. There is a light chop on the water.
We received an update from Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach who got a case of cabin fever and took a drive to the north jetty yesterday morning, just to see what was happening. Mike reported a decent Spanish Mackerel bite and a lot of greenies in the water. Visibility was poor due to overcast skies, but the bait was there. Mike only spent about 15 minutes on the jetty before he was run off by the rain, but just as he arrived, John Coleman of VA landed the Bonnethead Shark in our first photo today. John was using shrimp to land his fish.
