Rain, rain go a way come back again another day, four days of overcast sky, have not seen that in a long time. We need the rain just not all at one time. Oh well
the fish are all ready wet so put on the rain gear and lets go catch a fish.
Flounder continue, it seems they are every where, anglers fishing north or south are putting on the catch list and they are all good size not lots but one or two mixed in with the Trout catch can make a great dinner. Trout it has been top
water all day, usually after sun up the fish go to deeper water but with the overcast sky they lounged all day in the shallows, excellent catch reports from north to south, upper slot fish. Reds north of County line road, again fishing
the shallows no need to look for shaded water the whole river has been in the shade, soft rubber work slowly across the bottom found plenty. Bridges list the
variety, and there was cover in the rain, sardines for the Blue fish early then it was to many Sheephead, plenty of Snapper mix in a few Drum and you get the picture. Jacks, Lady fish and Flounder were also on the scene and then came the Tarpon looking for little tiny baits and the Snook know the season is closed, busy busy at the bridges.
Surf anglers had to deal with to many Whiting but the Blues and Jacks kept them busy watching their equipment. Tarpon from Bath Tub to the House of Refuge then
north to Walton Rocks, these are areas that they were milling around, not sure what they were eating but they were eating. Snook as I said earlier know the season is closed so if they are the target take the barbs off the hooks.
