Sebastian Inlet Report

06-19-12 FISHING IS ON THE SLOW SIDE....

The wind has picked up a little this morning; it's blowing out of the East-Southeast at 14 mph and there is a moderate chop on the water. There is a lot of bait in the water, greenies and mullet according to Tommy at the Bait and Tackle Shop.

We received an update from Mike  of Vero Beach who was on the north jetty yesterday morning and reported a slow bite, but it wasn't completely dead. No Mackerel were biting yesterday, even for those anglers with greenies. Mike and Diane Buyce both landed 13" Flounder using greenies. One keeper Red, a couple of Mangrove Snapper were landed on live mojarra, one Black Drum and one Pompano were landed on dead shrimp. As Mike was leaving the jetty, he happened to catch a guy coming out of the surf with a huge C/R Red landed on a big plug.

Photo one is of Al Beltran of Vero Beach with a 23.5" slot Red.

Our second photo is of Charlie Boscoe of Melbourne Beach with a couple of Mangrove Snapper.

Photo three is of Joe Zsabo, his friend Joe and Joe's son with a Pompano and a Black Drum.

Photo four is of an unidentified angler (who looks like Duc Nguyen) with an enormous C/R Redfish.
