Sebastian Inlet Report

05-22-12 TUESDAY: SPOT PORGY'S, SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUES, SEA TROUT, REDS AND SNOOK

It's gorgeous at the inlet this morning. Winds are blowing out of the South-Southwest at 6 mph and there is a light chop on the water.

Fishing remains about the same; slow with some real nice fish coming over the rails sporadically. A lot of Spot Porgy's have been stealing baits and some are being caught. An occasional Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sea Trout, Redfish or Snook will find its way to the jetty anglers. Most of the Reds and Snook have been big, oversized breeders and returned to the water.

Our angler of the day is John Tercovich of Merritt Island. John fished the north jetty and landed his first Redfish, ever. This beautiful 32" C/R Red was landed on live shrimp and will probably keep John coming back for more!
