Sebastian Inlet Report

05-21-12 MONDAY: SPANISH MACKEREL, SHEEPSHEAD, SPOTS, REDS, SNOOK, JACKS AND A COUPLE OF PERMIT

It's another beautiful morning at the Sebastian Inlet. Winds are blowing out of the West-Southwest at 5 mph and the water is calm. There is a small swell at second peak this morning for the surfers.
A few anglers landed Spots, some Spanish Mackerel, and one big Redfish came over the rails. Diane Buyce of Melbourne was using live shrimp and was sure she had a slot Snook on the line, because it behaved just like one. When she got him in, she realized it was an oversized C/R Red that was 32". That was a bitter-sweet catch, but the day wasn't a total loss for Diane, she landed two decent Spanish Mackerel using greenies another angler had given her.
Some nice Reds were landed over the weekend, some Blues, oversized Snook, a couple of Permit, Jacks and Sheepshead came over the rails according to Tommy and the Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop.
