Skies are overcast this morning at the inlet, but it is beautiful. Winds are blowing out of the Southwest at 2 mph and the water has a light chop. There is a small swell for the surfers on the north side; please use caution when casting off the north side of the north jetty.
Over the weekend there was a good variety of fish landed. Sea Trout are still being landed on the flats. Sheepshead, Snook, Reds, Flounder, Jacks, Spots, Blues and a couple of big Permit were landed on Friday afternoon. Earl Truman of Vero Beach landed a big Permit around 4:00 p.m. and an unidentified angler landed one an hour earlier.
Our photo today features Thang Nguyen of Orlando, who fished the inlet he was sure he had a keeper on the line but when he got it over the rails, realized it was an inch short. Thang released the Snook so it could grow up a little!
