It's a beautiful morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the West-Southwest at 7 mph and there is a light chop on the water. There is a small craft advisory for the Gulf Stream today through this evening.
Tommy Turowski of the Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that the weekend brought a good variety of species to our inlet anglers. Black Drum were hitting heavy on Sunday, but Saturday was the better day as far as variety goes. We saw Sheepshead, Ladyfish, Jacks, Snook, Reds, Flounder and Sea Trout. This morning there was a pretty good Snook bite.
We received an update from inlet regular Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach who fished the north jetty and reported that early morning several good sized Pompano were landed along with a couple of Whiting. Throughout the morning the Snook were biting, and 8 - 10 slot fish came over the rails along with a couple of big Sea Trout, Black Drum and a Redfish
Benjie of Kissimmee fished the inlet, a big day for Pomps. More than 2 dozen were landed in the afternoon hours.
