Sebastian Inlet Report

03-15-12 THURSDAY: SLOW BITE

This morning winds are blowing out of the East at 3 mph and there is a moderate chop on the water.

We received an update from inlet regular Diane of Melbourne who fished the north jetty reported a very slow morning. Diane arrived on the jetty at 5:00 a.m. and at noon, still had not had a bite. Early in the morning there was a short window for Snook. Three keepers came over the rails in a one hour time frame along with several hook ups and break offs. A few lucky anglers landed some pretty nice sized Pompano and Sheepshead. Ladyfish were plentiful. An unknown angler had two good sized Flounder at the cleaning table that he had landed off the north side rocks.

The first photo features one of the lucky ones, Jim of Melbourne Beach with a couple of decent sized Pompano he landed yesterday morning. Jim landed them using clams.
