03-13-12 TUESDAY: SHEEPSHEAD, BLUES, BLACK DRUM, SEA TROUT, FLOUNDER, SNOOK AND JACKS
It's a real nice morning at the inlet. We finally have a reprieve from the wind; it's blowing out of the South-Southeast at 3 mph and there is a light chop on the water.
A real good variety of species have been coming over the rails of the inlet. We've seen a smattering of everything, but nothing in huge numbers. Sheepshead have been the predominate catch but we've also seen Snook, Black Drum, Sea Trout, Reds, Flounder, Jacks and Blues. Shrimp remains the bait of choice for most inlet anglers.
The photo is of Daniel of Miami with a beautiful Sea Trout he landed Friday using live shrimp.
