Old Spot Becomes New
Yesterday I went down to check out the new Snook Island Pier in Lake Worth, a nice set up but a
"very narrow pier" its more like a wooden cat walk. It still has potential to be a good fishing spot. It is set close to the bridge pillars and open channel, I see some good spots to set up for snook..... While I was there a few NICE croaker and a small pompano care over the rails. The area has a lot of oyster bars and a rubble to sand bottom. I was told that there had been a few Black Drum caught the other day, One of my favorite eating fish (10lbs and under). There is also a kayak launch, boat deck and a nice walk way that takes you around the other side of the area but theres NO FISHING on this......
Over all not bad...but don't bring a lot of STUFF , you don't have the room.......
