03-30-12 FRIDAY: TGIF!
We have another beautiful morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the West-Southwest at 6 mph and the water has a light chop. We have a beautiful weekend forecasted with seas from 1 - 2' but always check the coastal forecast prior to venturing offshore as things can change quickly. Use caution when navigating the channel near the dredge. We are dredging the sand trap west of the bridge.
According to Walton Ray at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop, Don Weller of Sebastian was the luckiest guy out on the north jetty with back to back Snook catches, one undersized and one keeper, way to go Donnie!! There were a few Flounder, Black Drum and Pompano, about the same as the past few days.
Our first photo features Sam Terpening and his dad, Russell of Palm Bay with some of the nicest Flounder we've seen in a while. The duo landed these nice fish off the north jetty on using finger mullet.
