Sebastian Inlet Report
03-19-12 MONDAY: SNOOK, SHEEPSHEAD, POMPANO, FLOUNDER, BLACK DRUM, REDS AND SEA TROUT
It's another pretty morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the South-Southeast at 10 mph and there is a moderate chop on the water.
We received an update from inlet regular Mike Ricciardi who fished the north jetty, Mike reported an early morning Snook bite that produced 7 slot Snook and at least that many that never made it over the rails. Anglers using live shrimp at the end of the outgoing tide fared well. Mike arrived late at 6:45 a.m. and had no shrimp, so he could only be envious! Mike had clams and did well with the Pompano, as did Diane of Melbourne. Mike landed 5 and Diane landed 4, both anglers were using clams but sand fleas and shrimp also produced Pompano. About 15 - 20 Pompano were landed on the morning outgoing tide.
Tommy Turowski provided a weekend update and reported a good variety of fish landed. Some real nice Flounder, big Sea Trout, Snook, Sheepshead, Reds and Black Drum all were in play. Sunday, Monster Hole was holding a lot of Spinner Sharks and Tommy reported that they put on quite a show, jumping around.
Our first photo todayis of Dave of Sebastian with a nice slot Red.
Photo two is of Mike and Diane with their nice Pompano catches.
