Sebastian Inlet Report

01-05-12 THURSDAY: BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, FLOUNDER, REDS, AND POMPANO

We have another cool but beautiful morning at the inlet. Temperatures are in the 40's but we have lots of sunshine and light breezes. Winds are blowing out of the North-Northwest at 5 mph and there is a light chop on the water.

Fishing has been good. We received an update from Art V. who was at the inlet yesterday and reported a good bite for Pompano and Flounder on the south side and Reds on the north side.  Tommy with the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported Sheepshead, Black Drum, Pompano from the north jetty as well. Lots of diving birds have been active which means there's baitfish in the water.

Our photo today is of inlet regular Mike with a real nice 28" Black Drum he landed off the north jetty last.
