Flounder at the inlet, flounder inshore. Any grass flat surrounding the inlet has been producing. In a boat, try drifting a flat dragging a few live mud minnows or scented baits. Be sure not to pass up putting a bait in any potholes you may come across. Trout bite has been good as well mainly a few hours after sunrise and a few hours before sunset around the spoil islands. DOA, Exude, and live shrimp are our favorites. Snook have also been hanging out at the docks especially at dusk going into the evening. Play the tides and pitch a live shrimp, pinfish, mirrolure, or yozuri bait for the best shot at a dockside snook.

INLET
Inlet bite has been red hot with the usual list of characters for this time of year. First and foremost the Flounder bite has been exceptional using live mud minnows. Fish the tides incoming to slack for best results. Black drum bite has also been steady with most anglers finding success at the tip of the north jetty drifting live baits. Pompano are here in good numbers as well. Nothing beats a Doc's Goofy Jig fished off the north jetty towards the beach. Snook bite has also stayed strong with anglers finding the best results fishing the end of the bottom of the incoming. SURF

Big waves have kept some of the surf anglers away but the fish have been there. Pompano have been running pretty decent with a scattered whiting report as well. For pompano and whiting anglers have been using live or frozen clams. Clean the clams out and try salting your baits so that they stay on the hook better. Spanish Mackeral have been off the beach as well and are not picky eaters. If you can reach them and they are schooled up just about anything with a flash with get their toothy interest.
