A fishing buddy asked me why I’m not reporting about down in the Palm Beach / Lake Worth area ????? Well its been kind of slow, even though the winds have picked up the blue fish, jack bite, with sharks and catfish mixed in at both piers and jetties. One good thing about this wind is the snook LOVE the water being churned up and seem to love “BLUE FISH GUTS”. One bad thing is you have to put the snook BACK until Sept. the ???????????????? Hopefully when this weather calms down it’ll bring back ALL the fish that we have grown to love at the piers and jetties.
Even though I haven’t seen many people fishing for them, I have been seeing sheepshead all around, you can find crabs under the rocks at marinas at low tide. My #1 sheepshead spot was Boynton Beach jetty, but it’s been close for almost 3 years now because of repair. They say it will reopen in April of this year .......we will see......
