It's a little overcast at the inlet this morning but it's very nice. Winds are blowing out of the Southeast at 8 mph and the water is nice and calm. It was a beautiful weekend although fishing was just so-so. Small and a few keeper Spanish Mackerel and a smattering of Black Drum, Pompano, Sheepshead and Flounder came over the rails. Evening anglers did better with oversized Reds and catch and release Snook. We also received an update from a inlet regular on Friday's activities on the north jetty. He reported a fairly slow morning with Spanish Macks being landed on Gotcha lures and spoons, a few Blues and Black Drum and quite a few Catfish. |
